I welded a flat piece of bar across the end of my socket.
I didnt remove my fuel bowl and Ive done it about 4 times and going to do it again about tomorrow.
I put my socket on and can then get something over the welded bar and loosen it.
Then I crammed my hand in there (tight fit) but it was finger out then.
Reverse procedure going back in.
I can change it in just a couple of minutes now.
Why do you have to do it so much?

I'm assuming that this is after you've loosened it with the stupid tool. I was thinking I should still take the bowl out because my fuel lines in the V look absolutely horrible. Where can I get new one's? Would a hardware store have hose that is safe for diesel fuel? Or maybe I could make the switch to electric fuel! Too bad its probably outside my current truck fund.
I used 3/8" fuel injection hose from napa. Had blue rubber inside covered in black rubber. was rated for diesel and can handle 300 psi. Was a little more expensive but you don't need more than a foot of it.
Thank you, And just so you guys know, a) I spend too much time here apparently because I took the two study quizzes for my multivariate calculus class and only got 5/10 and 4/10. I have never missed class and the mid-term is at 10:30 in the morning and b) I plan on finally getting this project wrapped up on friday morning when it is supposed to be snowing. Got to go cram-study now.
