5.4 litre plug thread ?

I have heard that prior to 2006, that the threads in the spark plug hole are only about three ( 3 ) threads deep, and a reason why the plugs get ejected.
The reason I ask is I have a 2007 5.4, and if I have something to look forward too, in a possibility to have a spark plug wanting to leave home?

Thanks.

That problem was on the older 5.4L engines. It's not an issue on 04-08 F150s.

Earlier 5.4's, namely 2 valve motors had the plug spitting problem. Not to worry your 07 does not have this plug issue. Depending on build date, you may be subjected to a plug change challenge, namely broken plugs. I think it's engines built after October (can't remember the specific day) 2007 have a different design and have Coil On Plugs that are brown.

Hope this helps
