Rear end swap

i have 373 gears in both my trucks. my question is i want to buy two axles that are for sale cheap locally and they also have 373 gears to replace mine someday.... will they work?

Same year? Same model? Yes, they should be interchangeable.

There may be slight differences in drive shafts, and therefore flanges, but that's easily corrected when swapped.

There are slight variations in the way the brakes mount to the axles. And the mounting points aren't easily changeable. I've had to hog out holes to get the rear axles from different trucks to line up, mine in particular. But usually they will work, just pay attention to how the brakes mount, the rest is the same or easily fixable.
