Okay, so I noticed that I have the two lights that say OIL and GEN on them. However, since I was wiring an entire, new fuse panel into the truck, I cut out all the wiring...leaving just enough to install connectors on all the gauges/lights.
The only problem is this new wiring harness (and the wiring diagram for the truck) demonstrates where to wire the Ammeter if you have one, but it doesn't say where to put the wire from the generator dummy light (GEN).
If it helps, I am running a Mallory Hyfire 6A and a Mallory Distributor...with an alternator. Someone else wired all of this up for me, but I think the alternator is a GM version with three wires (two large/one small) coming from the alternator, and three wires coming from the voltage regulator. One of those voltage regulator wires connects to the small wire on the alternator.
Can anyone tell me how to connect this generator dummy wire?
Thanks for the help.
