<!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_start --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_start -->Is there a cheaper option to replace the fuel fill tube for the stepside beds? The straightside has aftermarket tubes available for $60-$70 bucks, but the step side is only available at the dealer for around $400!
Can't find any 93-97 stepsides in my local junkyards.
I was thinking about buying a straightside tube and cutting it down to length (unless its shorter ;-) ).
Does anyone know how these fuel tubes compare in length?
Thanks,
Steve

y2kfordparts has it for only 169.73.
Why are you replacing the tube? Junkyard can't network to find another JY with the tube for less?
You could use some radiator hose for a temp fix?
My 1999 fuel filler tube has two tubes one for fuel one for air, that might be what's creating the additional cost.

I'm replacing the tube because it is cracked nea the tank, and it leaks fuel when the tank is filled past 3/4 or so.
Thanks for finding that part for me, the $169 is the cheapest I've found it.
You are right about the vent tube, 93-97 ford rangers actually have a "tube inside a tube" setup, its a little differnet than the newer rangers. I think its dangerous to use non fuel hose for fuel, due to the buildup of static, and the possibility of explosion.
Haven't asked the JY to network for me, I do have 2 more to visit though....
