<!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_start --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_start -->With all the snow, yesterday I got a ABS light on two different occasions. This was traveling in four-five drifts. ABS still worked.
I am thinking it was more of a communication error. Anyone else have this issue? Ideas?
My '01 Montana with ABS sometimes acts up when driving in wet conditions. Not very often, but once in a while. Usually all it takes to correct it is shutting the engine off and re-starting it.
The odd thing is,,, the ABS is still active even if the warning light is on. I have been able to test it a couple of times with the warning light on while braking in the snow and on a gravel road.
that is exactly how it works, first time I shut the truck off, then start and it is gone. Second time I ignored it as I was trying to get through a big drift and didn't want to stop that one went away on its own.
I suppose I should add that I never did figure out a fix. It doesn't happen very often and it doesn't seemed to affect drivabilty or saftey. I've learned to live with it.
After all,,, I always have my Truck to fall back on if needed.
well load tested the batteries today, everything checks out. I had alot of snow pack all around the wheels so I think it was just road junk that caused the error.
