Auto 4X4
hey i have a 2001 expedition and it has Auto 4x4
i don't like it is there ne way to change it to 2wd and still be able to change it to 4x4 when i want it to come on
EG. a switch or something
Help would be great

You can wade through the 5 pages of this thread for some answers. They talk about removing a fuse to disable the A4WD and installing a switch to enable/disable it.

What do you not like about it? I haven't had mine through a winter yet but the description of its operation sounds pretty seemless. You do understnad that it is in 2wd until there is a speed descrepancy between front and rear wheels right?

Maybe he wants to spin the tires a little. Personally, if it can't spin all 4, it shouldn't be doing 2 either, because the engine obviously wasn't made for it. What you are looking for is the brown wire mod.
