Question TOD gear ratios

I've searched on FTE and Google and can't find the info. Does anyone know the gear ratios for the TOD found in the 84-86 trucks? I would guess it is close to the SROD, but would like to know for sure. Thanks!

I found the ratios but I'm not so sure that it is correct since the difference between 2-3 feels much bigger than that. I have one of these in my truck and honestly I'm not a fan and will be replacing it as soon as I can find a suitable replacement.

1st - 3.25
2nd - 1.92
3rd - 1.00
4th - .78
R - 3.25

Not exactly, the TOD is a four speed with fourth being OD, and the T-19 has a low "granny" first gear and no OD.

The TOD is a 4 speed toploader style version of the old SROD series of Overdrive transmissions. They were a light duty transmission with an aluminum case that was used behind the big six and the small block V8s.
The T19 is a heavier duty transmission that was very similar to the T18 transmission used primarily in the F250 and up trucks. The T18/19s generally had a granny low and a final ratio of 1:1. The main difference between the 18 and the 19 is that the 18 does not have synchros in first or reverse where the 19 is fully synchronized.

After I posted this, I went researching, Yes, the TOD is different than a T19.

But the differences between a T18 and a T19 are not just that all four gears are synchronized. T19's in Ford trucks were close ratio, If they were in International Harvester trucks, they were Wide ratio (granny gear 4sp). The T19 used by Ford for life behind f150-f450 trucks had 1st gear ratio of 4.1:1 and 4th gear ration of 1:1, So right, no overdrive, but it drives alot like one. and not a granny gear trans. Granny gear T18's and IH T19's were 6.32:1 1st gears.

I stand corrected. I didn't realize that there were different versions of the 19.

I also found that there was a 5.11 ratio T19 that apparently showed up in the mid 80's trucks too. See the posts about T18 to NP435 swap.

In the other post I mentioned, one person told me that his t19 had the 5.11 ratio. I haven't heard of any T19's with 6.32s in our truck, but seeing how these trans seem to be spread out from 79 - 91, anything is possible.
