Correct Fender Emblem
1966 F100 Custom Cab
WHen I bought the truck I noticed the emblems on the fenders dont match. They both have the red Twin I beam in the middle.
One says Ford 100 just across the top.. The other says Ford on Top, 100 on the bottom... Which one is correct for that year so I know which one to replace? THanks

1966 model was FORD across the top & F100 under bottom; only year for FORD 100 across the top was 1965. Both us the same style inserts like Twin I Beam or 4x4 etc; however the 66 style is common on both years due to being the only one repop. I learned this the hard way by placing 66 model style on my 65 after final paint and then realize thru others the 65 model was different.

The 1966 emblems have been reproduced, and all the aftermarket parts suppliers say they're for 1965 & 1966.
The 1966 emblems will fit 1965's, but they are NOT correct for 1965's.

What a dilemma for us 65 owner's, fortunately, found a set in salvage yard in very good condition. Don't think I could go the 66 emblem as a replacement, eventually will likely have to check out the cost of having the 65's rechromed.
