Hey guys, this weekend I noticed I have a rather noticeable clunk in the front end of my truck. I can hear it when I hit a series a small bumps, but I can also hear it popping if I just shake the steering wheel back and forth while driving. About 3 months ago, I changed upper and lower ball joints on both sides, and front sta-bar bushings and link ends from energy suspension. Since that job, I have not heard any front end noise until this weekend. What else could be going bad up there. The noise sounds like drivers side and I can actually feel it in my feet.
Check your leaf spring eye bushings. I had to replace mine a week a go. It sounded like someone was hammering under my feet when the suspension would flex.

Dave,
How did you identify that it was the leaf spring bushing. Were you able to duplicate the noise under the truck while shaking the spring? I was also thinking leaf spring because my end links are only 4 months old.
sway bar bushings and end links were changed 4 months ago. I can recreate the popping noise by violently shaking the truck while parked in the garage. However, it sounds like the sound is coming from the floorboard under the drivers feet. Does not sound like it is coming from leaf springs or cab mount. This thing is really hard to find.

I went thru sway bar bushings about twice a year, so it could be them acting up again.

sway bar is easy to take off for a bit to test.
I took mine off and never put it back. Got rid of the noise and haven't noticed any noticeable ill effects of not having it, so I don't plan on reinstalling it.
