I have a new ICP sensor ordered and have been running for a week with the old one unplugged.
First off the engine seems sluggish and the trans is shifting weird.
When I replace the sensor I was planning on disconnecting the negitive battery cable to let the computer reset itself much like I've done before on gas engined vehicles.
My question is do I need to disconnect BOTH negitive cables at the batteries of just one to do this?
Thanks Mark!! Thats what I suspected.
This will give me a chance to try out my new gadget-the little thing that I bought in Walmart that plugs into the lighter plug and keeps the memory in my radio while the batteries are disconnected.
hhmmm... That might be enough to keep the PCM memory, too. My radio doesn't lose its memory anyway. All the stored stations stay, but the radio defaults to 87.5 FM or something. Just press one of the memory buttons and it's all good. Might have to set the clock, too.

That will keep the memory in the computer alive, too. If you use that you may as well leave the batteries connected.
