What Power Stroke tools do you need?

What are some of the Power Stroke specific tools that you guys run into that you can't 'rent' locally? Tools you'll only use once and won't need again, usually.
Stuff like:
1) Compression tester.
2) Break-out box.
3) Injector cup remove/install.
4) ??

The one thing we need in this forum to pass around and what not is some injector cup removal tools.

As for tools.
I buy them like women buy shoes.

I'd blow all of it on tools.
100k on tools? yea sure easy.
And no not all snap on. I'd like more then just a tool box and 3 or 4 wrenches. hahaha.

I don't know about 3 or 4 wrenches. I have a medium sized rollaway with 95% Snap-On in it. I like the feel of the tools. Maybe it is also an ego thing. I know that if all of the tools were Craftsman, I would have 2 or 3 times more tools.

BREAK-OUT BOX!!!!!!!!! cody has a compression tester so we are good there, injector cup removal/install tool would be nice just in case so we wouldn't have to take the truck to IH to get fixed if the injector cups wear thru.

How about valve spring compressor??? i need one of those and a break-out box right now actually...

I dotn think i'ma buy Craftsman tools.
Well not all of them.

Kobalt for all my wrenches and stuff from now on.

Their bits suck for drivers though, and so do their drills.

Kobalt is higher end then craftsman, and better product for cheeper.
I love my kobalt toolbox.
Cheeper then the craftsman equivilant, and 2x better construction/quality.

Their wrenches have the same quality or more, for cheaper, and i think they have the same warrenty.

Kobalt makes craftsman anyways.
haha.

I like to buy my own tools, too. But many guys on a budget just go to Autozone (or the like) and get them for a few days for free.

Nice list:
1. Injector removal and install tools. Use a bent prybar and dead-blow hammer that you can get anywhere, and cheap.
2. Injector cup tools. Agreed.
3. Ball joint press. Good idea, but generic and you can get from Autozone.
4. Hub sockets. Good idea, might not be available everywhere.
5. Fuel filter lid tool. Use a screw driver on it's side...
6. Pulley pullers and install tools. Agreed, but probably available at Autozone.
7. Banjo bolt wrench. $4 box wrench at Tractor Supply, this one you can afford to buy.
8. ICP / IPR ( can't remember which one ) socket. IPR socket, custom made, but good idea.
9. Pitman arm puller. Autozone.
10. Drum brake spring tool. Autozone.
11. Seal installation tools. Like what kind of seal? Autozone?
12. Pinion nut socket. Cheap socket from somewhere.

Valve spring compressor is a good idea, might get from Autozone or local rent-it place?

I'm asking about Power Stroke specific tools that most people won't just go out and buy and you can't find easily locally. I've got 4 PSd's and a loft full of parts, so buying the tools to work on them is wise for me, but not so much for others.

What is a 'Wiggly Pin Wrench'?

Great ideas, keep them coming.
Thanks!

Fan removal wrench set, the proper ones. I spent almost a full day and found 1 rental place that had some that fit. All the auto stores had the wrong ones, although they argued it was the correct item. If you have never done it before then it is quite hard unless one buys the entire set.

Around where I live nobody lends or rents out tools. At least within a reasonable distance. So with no other options I buy what I need.

Hell out where I live no one knows what tools are besides a crowbar and a hammer....the nearest autozone is 40 miles away too. I buy all Husky now, I used to have snap on, matco, mac etc...when Husky came back on the market I switched back to them. They have a nice feel to em' and so far they've got the same quality the old Huskys had years ago. Never much liked craftsman tools, had an 11/16 in socket break on me once and nearly tore my thumb off, well a nice gash anyway......
