Hey guys,I have a 1993 expedition xlt with the 6 disc cd player.Today when cd 2 ended and it was switching to cd 3 it jammed.The radio still works but when you push cd it says cd error.It will not eject or switch cd's or anything.Any idea's?
Perhaps off isn't really a complete loss of power to the unit. You could try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so to allow the electronics to completely deplete of power.
They didnt make a 93 expedition. Usually the entire radio is now junk. Ask me, I have gone through 3 of them so far. They go bad all the time. Also they jam instantly when you put in a cd with a paper label.
Sorry I ment 2003 It is the in dash changer.I found a local guy who fixed it.Said the chasis was broke.$200 fix.Good as new.I didnt want an after market.Hope it holds up another 6 years.
