Oh joy, maybe I should head out to my friends shop in the morning and see if they have updated theirs lately. If they haven't maybe I can still get it done.

It would appear the replies to those online service evaluations do get read.
I answered the survey truthfully, and the manager of the dealer's diesel dept called me first thing the next morning. He said to bring it back and they'd make it right, also offered to detail the truck, if I wanted to wait.

I took it in this morning. When i saw the mechanic drive it around I went out to talk to him. Said he'd put all 4 @ 65 psi, and set TPMS the same, as that's what he'd been asked to do. After we talked, he agreed to lower more, based on my request, he left the tires at 65psi, but went back into the IDS software lowered all four to the minimum, 50 psi. I drove home with no light on the dash @ 65 all around. That's as low as I want in the front, but still need to try 55 in the rear. As of right now, I'm a happy camper.

Oh, and the truck hasn't looked this good since the day I bought it. They spit polished the bad boy, even put shiny black stuff on the tires & I can't find any mud on my floor mats or dust on my dash.

They really did take care of me this time around and all of a sudden I'm again feelin' like a "Ford Truck Enthusiast"

Good to hear, I did some following up on the subject and from what I am hearing as you just found out they can indeed still lower the set pressures with the IDS. Also the batteries do not charge as someone stated....

if they don't charge, they'd die within a couple of years.

The manual also doesn't mention that there is no cable between the accelerator pedal and the throttle... doesn't make it any less true.

Short of somebody making an old (functioning is better, but not required) device available to be disassembled, a schematic does not appear to be available.

TPMS on Spare Tire?

On a 2011 f-250 super duty with a full size spare tire, can you put a TPMS sensor in it , rotate it on to the truck and have the monitoring system still work?

You could but you would have to train it when you put it for driving on for the system to recognize the new sensor. Otherwise it will keep looking for the wheel with the sensor you removed.
