I am quite certain someone thought of this before but it does work quite well.

It was suppose to be a bit of humour. What I did was duct tape a wire wheel chucked into a die grinder onto a broom handle. I shoved the whole apparatus into the long tube and when I plugged the hose in the compressor the grinder turned on. The broom handle allowed me to move the wire brush up and down the tube. Then I blew everything out from inside the pumpkin. Cover up as much as you can inside the pumpkin to eliminate contamination.

How are the ball joints coming? Did you double click on the link? It could be that I had posted the picture as private. I wonder if I can change that?
