Carefully and slowly slide the blade of a flat-head screwdriver under the top panel of the dryer, starting at one of the front corners. Very carefully tilt the screwdriver to pry the top panel upward, taking care not to scratch the finish. Move the screwdriver around the top panel as you pry it up a little at a time. You should hear two pops, one at each corner. These are the retaining clips coming loose. After both clips have popped loose, you should be able to lift up the top panel like the hood of a car.
