Fuel pressure regulator? / relief ? and more
Ive read several post on "FPR" and am somewhat confused. I have figured out that FORD PARTS (dealer) says the fpr is on the Hpop? and cost is <$300>. and comes only as a single piece replacement. On Guzzles oring site He has a FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF housing w/oring that is located on the side of the fuel bowl. Are they both commonly called FPR or is the parts house wrong or me?
Real question is I think I need the FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF ORING and what ever goes inside it (spring??/ Valve???housing) What should I ask for? can't wait for delivery want to replace it by Wednesday/Thursday.
P.S>I'll be doing the in tank mods also. Kit coming from ITP Monday. also will do trans fluid change, front pads replace replace intake boots (new red ones from Clay waiting in back seat) we'll be taking our Camping vacation trip on the 6th from San Antonio to Dallas to Rayburn then back home( about 8days)

I read this post a few days ago https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...uel-bowl.html# and THATS what I had on my filter back when I first posted on FTE. This is the ONLY answer that fits the "brass" colored flakes I had on my filter. The first answers I got were maybe yes and maybe no. But since I was COMPLETELY new to diesels and had only read a few hundred posts, I thought well okay.
I've since replaced the ICP, EBP Sensor and tube, did the UVCH clips, re-torqued everything under the valve covers, cleaned and scraped all battyer cable and connections, switched to synthetic Rotella, relaced the ABS sensor, tookout the K&N air filter, replaced it w NAPA gold (road side decision) and replaced one Hpop line o-rings. Each time i could feel improvment but still not there yet from a 1-10, It went from an 8 when I got it at 124k miles, to a 4.5 and now to maybe a7.
Better but still needs something.
I'm all stock no add-ons and really want to get everything fixed before I get into big mods. (money is short of course)
