I couldn't get a reading with any tire pressure guages. I bought a fuel pressure guage kit from Harbor Freight (part#92699). I replaced all the o-rings on the FPR with new ones from Bob and put it back on. When I screwed on the guage and cranked the truck it read 10 PSI at idle and like 11 at 2000 rpms. I didn't really believe it but dropped a BB in anyway to see the effect and nothing, I got the same readings. Any ideas or advice? I don't think our trucks will even crank with 10 psi so surely it is a faulty reading. I also thought that maybe the brass nipple wasn't in the spring straight and checked it several times.
Mine has 12 psi at idle my fuel pump is only 6monthe old from napa so i'm not going to chang it till it dies or till right before the warranty is up i have a bad idle and when i punch it it falls on it's face

Well that's disheartening. I don't feel like it has a bad idle but it could be smoother and it sure doesn't respond like I want it to when I punch it. Well CRAP. So could it be a sign of a fuel pump on the way out?
Hmmm.. I didn't even think these trucks would run w/ 10psi... something not right about that... The spring in the FPR wasn't broken or anything was it? I would suspect an FPR problem over the pump. Usually when these pumps have problems they will leak wayyyy before they start dropping pressure. Mine had good pressure when I bought my truck at 250k miles, but it leaked..

No fuel leaks anywhere, knock on wood. My pump is only like 30k miles old.
I'd LOVE electric fuel but if they are all near the price of the CPR system then there is now way in he!! I'll be getting it.
You can build your own setup way cheaper. You can even come look at mine to get a good idea of what you will need and how to run everything.
I might take you up on that at least to get a ballpark price. I wanna do a project at Cody's sometime anyway so maybe then if I can ever get away. What area of Austin do you live in?
