Too many?

Im starting to question my sanity, as if I have some kind of obsession with these old trucks. Let me know what you think. To date I am 25 and have 16 pickup from 66 to 79 plus my 05. Also bought 2 more but havent gotten them home yet, and just talked to a guy about a 70 F100 4x4 today. Does any body else think I have a problem or is this somewhat normal?

It's normal (as far as i'm concerned lol) the 73-79 Ford trucks were the best trucks ever built, hands down! we'll never see a truck like this again so every one we save is one less that finds its way to the crusher.

Thanks guys thats 1 big reason why I buy so many is to save them from the crusher. Just talked to a friend and he wants to sell his 76 F150 4x4 or he might turn it into a trailer i cant let that happen so Ill add another to the lis plus last friday night I passed a 72 F100 sitting along the road for sale might go check it out.

um....

seems i dream of having the space for this.

if you can....do it. even if you cant afford to fix them. buy em, store them, at worst you have to sell them all in 30 years for more than what you payed for them. or even just get the cabs if nothing else. ever see one of those old toyota landcruiser buffs with 70 or 100 body tubs neatly lined up on his property selling them for good money? they were smart enough to know that back in the 80's and 90's their value would go up. our trucks will take more time, but i wish i could find a guy with 100 57-60 fords laying around.

Hey Ds where you at in SD? You see I'm in Plankinton. I'm thinking that I wish I had 16 trucks sitting around. Right now just 5 between 71 and 79 but if I could run into a little extra cash I know where i could grab a couple more. Did you see the guy with 100 with parts for sale on craigslist a little while back? I bookmarked his add for possible future needs.

Sanity is not at fault if you have the money to do whatever it is you want to do.

Sanity only comes into play when you do things like this under threat of bankruptcy, divorce, or being kicked out of the neighborhood.

I just wonder what you do for a living when you are only 25 and you are able to have more trucks than just about anyone else on here. I'd have liked to have that kind of money when I was 25. I don't have it at 31. A lot of other guys on here probably don't (or didn't) have it at 50!

These trucks are sweet. A lot of people around where I live say, "Wow you sure don't see many of these trucks around." One guy told me the reason you don't see them around is because they were junk lol. Yeah... LOL. People actually USED these trucks - for work! Of course some of them ended up in the junk-yard!

Oh man that is awesome! I'm looking forward to getting my first one soon... Pretty soon the Ad-Council is going to have those anti commercials. Hybrids - My Anti-Dentside. That'll be the day. Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw on a blown 426 Hemi 'Cuda: "Dear hybrids, thanks for the extra gas!"

Yep, they are definitely habit forming. I'm now up to 14 dentsides in various states of dis-repair. I'd still like to find a nice 2wd F100 shorty to low ride, and maybe a ....
