It is the "sport" version of the F150. They only offer it with 2WD and the 5.4l.
If you think of the "FX4" as the off road F150 then this is the on road "hot rod" F150. Though there is nothing different performance wise.

I have seen an fx2 with the 4.6l motor which really didn't make sense to me as being "sporty" i guess its more sporty that then v6 model.

they actually have a few extra options available over an XLT...like flow through console with rear ac vents, body color running boards and front/rear bumper.
And it was also available with 4.6 or 5.4 motors, but that was covered.
I also think they were offered with a few FX2 specific colors only as well as regular colors.

The FX2, I believe only came in three colors (fire red, black, gray). Leather seats, color match mirrors, bumper, side steps, carbon fiber accents inside and in the headlights, a grille that is similar to the billet grilles, and 20 inch wheels.
