Ha-Ha, I'm quoteing myself. Anyway, this is post number seven in this thread and without knowing what I was doing because it was so cheap I bought 2CZ3-2005-BB. Is it worthless and I should buy the right one or can I make it work without to much trouble?

I think I read somewhere the sd you gotta cut and add on to the piece that goes to brake pedal

You could always use the one you bought as a core

Digging up old dirt. I just did my hydro boost and I'm less than impressed with my brakes. The pedal is way hard. And looking at the arm that connects to the pedal is at a weird angle. Doesn't seem right. I used all 97 f super duty parts. I know the rod can be rotated 180 degrees. One way the nylon pieces fit right. The other way, the outer nylon piece doesn't fit but the rod is higher and more in line with the hydro unit.

I know this post is two years old and you've figured it out by now. The hydroboost actuating rods aren't at the same elevation as the vacuum booster rods. The SD hydroboost brake pedals have the actuating pin about 3/4" closer to the pedal pivot (higher up) to account for the difference in booster rod location.

The SD brake pedal is obsolete and you need to either get a SD hydroboost brake pedal from a junkyard or move the pin location on your existing pedal. Just responding to this now so that anyone else considering the hydroboost upgrade that hasn't read other threads will know about the brake pedal difference.

carquest is no more. At least in fl. Advance owns them and took them over.

I installed a e99 hydrobooster in my 96 I bought lines for a 96 fsuperduty and they fit then drilled new holes in hydrobooster mounting bracket and cut and welded rod to the right length works flawlessly
