Can I switch a D-celerator exhaust brake from a 1987 turo to a 1997 PSD? I have an exhaust brake on my '87 and wouls like to switch it to my '97. Is it worth having an exhaust brake?
Basically your 97 already has an exhuast brake on it, It just isn't wired to be an exhuast brake. It is called the EBPV (Exhaust Back Pressure Valve). It is used to warm the engine up quicker in the winter. However you can do like me and many other people and re-wire it up to be a brake. If you do it correctly it will still function in cold weather as it is supposed to.
That sounds GREAT!!!! I just got throught putting a class 5 hitch on the back and I have a prodigy 21095, newest supposadly, brake controler, but I want an exhaust brake. How hard is it to wire up?
