did not run into any problems accept that the passenger front bushing/bolt is siezed on. i tryed Kroil, heat(just wanted to burn rubber off) hammer, vice grips.
the problem is is that the bolt wont come out of the rubber bushing/washer.
in which i beilve i need to keep the rubber bushings and washers to set the lift blocks on top of.
any ideas on how to get the bolt out without wrecking the rubber bushing/washer.
currently daily driver so would like to have wheels asap
In most cases replacing all of the body bushings with poly units are the best bet. Replacing them at this point is the easiest.
However, since you are looking into the body lift option, one can assume that cost is an issue.
That being the case, there are a few methods for removal of the stubborn bushing.
If you have a 4" angle grinder, then you have a tool that will work for the removal of the lower washer and nut combo. The tool provided is a spanner wrench type thing, and it uses two posts to engage a pair of holes on the spindle nut itself. Ok, so the spindle nut looks just like this large washer that continues to spin, so drill a pair of holes in it so you can attach this spindle nut removal tool.
Once it fits, turn the bolt from above until the tool rests on the frame, and let it rip. Hammer it with an impact and watch out for flying parts. That thing should pop right off.
If that does not work, use the grinder to just grind the threaded portion of the retainer off. Once off, you can just replace with a normal self locking nut. Slow down so you dont burn the rubber and you will get it off.
