I have a '05 F-250 w/6.0 and I have a bad #4 injector...I pulled the injector and it has a lot of carbon build up. My question is should I replace all the injectors or just replace the one that has failed...My instincts tell me to replace them all since the truck has over 150000 miles, but my wallet says just the one...lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Since you can do it yourself, then do them one at a time. If it was a dealership thing and you had to keep going back then I'd say do them all. two small tips. Make sure the cylinder isn't full of diesel fuel from pulling the injector and get the oil out of the injector clamp hold down bolt hole. I use a q-tip for the hole and crank the truck over for the diesel in the cylinder.
what do you mean low pressure I have lost 4 injectors on my early build 03 in the last 6 months. It happened in two groups and so all 8 have now been replaced.
But if I have a fuel pressure problem that is contributing what can i do ?
well that happened in my experience, it went right bank (2 went but replaced 4) now my left bank went (6,8 went replaced all 4) I am diligent about replacing my fuel filters
