So it seems that we have alot of random questions that have their own thread. Mostly only 1 or 2 replies. Then we have to shuffle through alot of threads to find what we need so what im starting is a general question thread. That way we can keep all the random BS in 1 place and not clutter it all up. So ive got a few questions to start off with.
Ok so my highboy parts truck has a Reese hitch thats welded to the frame and i want it for the crew. Will it hurt to grind the welds oof and bolt it to the crew? Or has the welding hurt the steel in any way that i shouldnt use it?
Secondly does anyone know if Dana 60 front hubs will work on a big hub Dana 44? Im not talking about the lockout but the hub in general? If not does anyone know of parts to make a 44 DRW?
I do not believe it will hurt to grind the welds.
I am like 62% sure the hubs will work.
As for the actual thread idea. It has the same concept of a "Newbie Thread". I think its just too difficult to keep up with. Most questions don't just have "Here's my problem" and "Here's your answer" it usually goes a little more. Several suggestions and questions about the problem, which would get really confusing if muliple people were posting in one thread. I think its easier to just post a new one for your question.
However; if you would like to start a General Frequently Asked Questions thread.. well that would be something I would support. Post common questions and answers. I'm all for that. Haha.
As for one thread for muliple problems. Well that doesn't seem like a good idea.
As I was saying in the previous post, its hard to do a thread like this because of questions like these. There's question for the OP and if there were multiple questions it would get confusing asking the original poster and answering them.

So to you Newhouse, I suggest you start a new thread with this question in it. Also, please include a few other things.
+ What kind of off-roading do you do? There are carburators built for extreme angles.. such as hill climbs. + Are you looking to save gas mileage? Some carbs tend to reduce mileage for power.
Give us all the information you can about what you want to see out of it and what your going to be doing with it.
That's funny, I was going to rail your sister, but it turns out she was your mom, aunt and grandmom too. Funny how a family wreath works, instead of a tree, huh?
