ABS Light
My ABS light came on the other day. Its off now but I would like to know more about how the ABS works and where the all the parts are located so when the time comes to fix things I have a clue. The ABS is just on the back brakes ?

Yep, it's rears only. RABS, Rear Antilock Brake System.
What were the circumstances when the light came on?
The dash light comes on everytime the RABS is active. Some are a little too sensative IMO.....It may activate under normal braking and hitting a bump in the road with the rear tires.

Just unplug the light, and the brakes.
You don't need either of them.
Most of the F150 guys just unplug the RABS system. RABS II isn't as bad though.
95 was change over for RABS II wasn't it?
Don't the 97's have All around ABS?
Haha, i didn't realize we ahd the same truck. I'ma change mine to DI Turbo Diesel too. thats good. I like that.

That might be ok for me but what about people who have a lot of weight in the back on a regular basis? Heavy loads + wet roads = weels locked up = crash. Right?
