In my occasional searches over the years I found most posted threads incomplete. They usually end with "ok, I'll try that". Or "I'll let you all know how it comes out", only to end there. Whether it's been 3 weeks since you last posted or you're just embarassed because you had to take it to the dealer and pay Bucks. Just post a follow up. The thread is much more useful if we know what it was, how difficult and how much it cost.
Thanks.
I'll have to give you some props for this one. You bring up a good point. I bet most of the people don't realize how many people quietly follow a particular thread and think there is no value to posting the results.
A little situational awareness here is a good thing
One one of the professional forums I am on, it is REQUIRED, or you lose your privileges. But, it's a different atmosphere in that setting. Point being, you are right, it is really important.
I understand what your saying. I hate it when I am reading a thread that has really good info on what I am researching, and then just ends without someone following through like they said they were going to or the thread just died completely. It is especially frustrating when that thread might be a couple of years old and those people might not even post of FTE anymore.
Excellent point. It's been brought up before, too. I try to do that on mine, but I haven't gone back & looked. Might have to do that when I have more time. For now, I have to see about putting sticks in 8 holes. As opposed to putting ***** in 9 I guess. LOL
