air vent noise

hi i have have a 2006 fx4 crew and i have noticed that the passenger side air vent, the one nearest the window, kinda makes a vibrating sound everytime i hit a little bump or anything, it is especially irritating when going down dirt roads that have wash-boarded a bit. how do these come out of the dash? can they come out of the dash? i am scared of trying to pull on them in fear of breaking something! has anyone else had this issue? how did you remedy it?

you talking about the A/C vent on the dash that rotates 360 degrees and has the tiltable louvres?

if so, just pull it out
