Grill guard
Does anyone know where I can find a good bull bar. I am looking for the kind that sticks out off the front of the truck. Not the one that sits flush. I know that doesn't make much sense but I'm not even sure if that's exactly what they are called. I'm looking for one that is not ridiculously expensive but I don't want a cheap one either. Any suggestions on brands or web sites? Thanks for the advice.

is this the style your are talking about?
(not my truck just, taken off a online dealer for ranchhand bumpers) kinda bad pic but the only 150 photo i could get my hands on and the only ones i can think of that arent the $300 dollar flush fit.
if so it is called a bull nose-front end replacement bumper. (name either a bull nose, bull bar, baja style, many of names)
Ranchhand (biggest name but a bit pricey for what you get)
T3
Cattleman
Frontier Xtreme bumper
ARB (they do it call it a bull bar)
and there are a few more brands than that but expect to pay anywhere from $650 up to $1200 (before shipping, tax, etc depends where you at).

when it comes to those styles there really isn't a bad brand out on the market just some are more expensive than others. The quality runs about the same just with different labels on them cause there really isnt alot to screw up on the designs.
dont know what state you live in but if you are outside of TX then look at the Frontier and Ranchhand companies since they have the capabilities to do business outside of TX for a cheaper prices (shipping, overhead, etc).
the only thing i will suggest is if you are looking more for looks mainly then say strength (as in for bumping heavy items, most protection from wildlife collisions, etc where you need the bulkiest bumper out there). I would look for a lighter replacement bumper cause most for a F150 will be anywhere from 120lbs to 200lbs and on a independent front suspension truck the less weight will be better for the ride quality and for the life of the suspension parts.

these would be the bigger/biggest names on the market around here that provide prices that arent sky high. there are others (alot actually so might want to do a search online) out there but i'll speak about the ones i know about.

Thanks again for the advice. I am in SOCAL for now so I don't really need it for the strength. But I don't really want something that is really weak either. I guess what I am saying is I want like a mid range type. So if you know anything that is that type could you let me know those brands. Thanks again for all your help.

edit: one place that has a couple warehouses in Cali is Top Gun Products (not 100% sure if they do bull nose bumpers though, i believe they do them for the F150). so if you have a local auto place they should be able to order you the style of bumper that will make you happy.

do you want a Bull Bar?
or
A replacement bumper?
what Rebel Yell posted is a whole new bumper. A bull bar is basically what you see on the front of a Cop Car. I'd post a picture of the Bull Bar on my FX4, but it's blocked at work. Search this forum for Hunter Bull Bar and you'll find some pictures.

I am looking for just the bull bar but i wasn't sure that they made it like that. I tried to look at your pics but like you said it's blocked at my work too. So I will check them out tonight. I will check out the Hunter site and see what I can find there. Thanks for helping me out with that.

Check out Frontier Gear
www.frontier-gear.com
I had one of their grill guards on my '06 F150. It fit perfect and was a very good build quality.
