Hey Ford Mechanics...
I have a 1998 Ford Contour, V6 2.5 having problems with (PATS) I have already researched, and have had my key reprogamed 3 times but still has not solved the problem, I only have one key, I understand it could be the PCM. Whats my next step, Can I do anything without having to pay the dealership?

1998 Ford (PATS) not responding
I have a 1998 ford contour 2.5 v6 My passive anti theft system (PATS) is FN bulls--t. I cant start my car!!! Ive had my only key reprogrammed 3 times by a qualified locksmith for ($75). And it still didn't work. Ive been told i need a high end scan.What does that mean? Is that something i can only get at the dealership.can i bypass the dam thing or what.please HELP!! What can i do?

Got AAA? Tow to the dealer, get if fixed, put it on CL.
