Dealer Installed A/C

Dealer Installed A/C
I have a small problem. I am helping restore this truck for my step son and the A/C is not working. We live in Arizona so A/C is super important unless you like haveing an attractive sweat stain on your back and passing out in the parking lot.
It has dealer installed A/C and factory heating. I found the problem. When I move the lever over from defrost to heat to A/C it contacts another lever when in A/C mode. When it hits this lever it engages the A/C and disengages the heat.
The switch/resister thing is broken. Anyone know what it is called or where I can find one? I called ford and they said they had one but when I looked at the online picture it looks completely different.
Help?

That switch will likely be specific to the kit that the dealer installed. Often, trying to find out even who made the kit can be a challenge 10. 20. or more years down the road.
Can you post some pics of the part in question? Are there any markings on the switch? Numbers? I've seen some kits that use a very common type of microswitch for that purpose.
