Brass hasn't been commonly used in radiators for 15+ years. Probably a lot longer. Brass has the best thermal conductivity of radiator materials but it is expensive and heavy. Aluminum won over the carmakers for those reasons a long time ago. Cheaper and lighter.
But you have an old vehicle, and it may be possible to find a brass radiator as a resoration part. No idea as I have no experience there. But there are forum sponsors that specialize in older truck parts, so I'd start there.
