My wife just called our local dealership and asked about an OASIS report this truck: 1FTWW31P56EB77340, and the guy told her there was nothing on it!! Is this possible? Has anyone heard of this? How can a 2006 204K truck never been to a dealer for ANYTHING!? I thought the OASIS report was going to be end all to help make my decision, but it has only made it harder. What am I to think about a "blank: OASIS? Is this good or bad? If nothing has been replaced, is it all going to come to a head ON ME?
They lied to you or they just didn't do it. Two things showed up when I checked. Here they are:
<TABLE rules=rows><TBODY><TR><TD>Cust Comments:</TD><TD colSpan=21>CUSTOMERS STATES CK FOR ENGINE DIES WHILE STOPPING AND NO RESTART</TD></TR><TR><TD>Tech Comments:</TD><TD colSpan=21>NO START DIAG FOUND VEH HAS HI PRESSURE OIL CONCERN REPLACED HI PRESSURE OIL PUMP RETEST CKS OK</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
<TABLE rules=rows><TBODY><TR><TD>Cust Comments:</TD><TD colSpan=21>CS THAT CHECK ENGINE IS ON, AND MISFIRE ALSO</TD></TR><TR><TD>Tech Comments:</TD><TD colSpan=21>FOUND RUNS VERY ROUGH. SCAN FOR CODES. P0303 FOUND INJECTORS ON RIGHT BANK BAD DUE TO LOW FUEL PRESSURE REPLACE INJECTORS ON THE RIGHT BANK.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
First one was at 33,000 miles and the second one was at 84,000 miles.
IMO if you have a truck that does not show any repair items on the OASIS it indicates that the truck was well built at the factory which is a good thing. The second part of the equation is how has the truck been maintained by the previous owner(s). Since the OASIS only reports repairs done during the warranty period it doesn't provide you any information on the truck after 5 years or 100K.
My truck did not show any repairs on the OASIS so it does happen.

Interesting. I did not know that a repair done by ford after warranty would not be on the report.

Jboczar,
I REALLY appreciate it!!! So what do you think? Doesn't sound bad at all. Why would they tell her that? Did he do something wrong or just not that bright?
