Why does Middle School Track cost so much and they dont ever give ya any warning that the kids need this and that until the last minute?

Why would track cost so much?

Sneakers: $50-70
Shorts: $12
Shirt: $10

Watching your kid give new meaning to the term "Run like hell": Priceless.

At least that's how it broke down for me during my short tour as a track member.

Why track?
No sneakers, now they want kleats, shorts, jogging pants, sweatshirt that zips up, this special t-shirts. Last night over 50 bucks for 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of jogging pants, 1 sweatshirt that zips up and 1 special t-shirt. But he needs 2 of everything except the kleats.

(Dumb question I know but...)

Why can't schools have rifle and pistol teams?
$750 for a rifle that will last you years and years over expensive clothes and shoes.
