All i have is the DP tuner with 1100 high idle, 20tow,60econ,80econ,100performance, 120race and both 140s. I have a S&B intake, just a muffler delete for now, waste gate block off. Thats it for now. I been spending most of my cash on cosmetics for now casue i thought it ran pretty good for me for now until the dodge race. I have yet to even see if i can get more boost on the 140 setting too. I thoguth this was high thats why i was curious

You are correct 32-33 is high for a stock turbo you can do it for a while but it will catch up with you if you keep it up. I hate to tell you this but if that dodge is a tuned truck you don't have a chance with what you have

Yeah i knew that i am putting high stress on my turbo with these numbers. I do not run the 140 setting very often since my trans slips and shifts very bad in this setting. This is whats really holding me back for any big mods. Honestly i have been very surprized with how this truck runs against my frineds trucks. All of them have 95 to 98 dodges with all your common pump stuff some more than others with turbos ect. I am by far the oddball but my truck has never looked bad against anyone yet. Won some lost some. Whole lot better than my old 1994 idi thats for sure.lol
With the wastegate disconnected I used to hit 32psi. That only lasted for about a month when the ring that seperates the oil from the exhaust on the turbo shaft blew out and pumped a gallon of oil into my exhaust. I now have it set at 25psi.
I am not buying 33psi on a stock turbo. If it is doing that it won't do it for long. 29-30 I can see on the high tune. Anything over that is a faulty gauge or a turbo that will be replaced soon.
There isn't anything wrong with glowshift gauges. I've run many sets on my boosted gas engines as far back as 4 years ago. I still have a set in a turbo ranger I built for a friend back in 05.
I have the black series in my 00 diesel now and really like them. They are bright though so I have them in the underdash pod not apllar. I only wished I had gotten the 1700* and not the 2500* egt gauge but that was the package deal I had gotten. Oh well. Next time I suppose.
My "stock" boost is 20psi with stock tune. But I adjusted the wg actuator some.

That's why the larger exhaust housing is important on tuned trucks. Consistently going too far over 25 puts a LOT of pressure (due to very high back pressures in the turbo housing, and up-pipes for that matter) on the turbo. The larger housing reduces back pressure big time. 1.0 is enough on stock or mild injectors, 1.15 van turbo is minimum for larger injectors up to a tad over 400 rwhp.
I know all the issues dealing with high boost and such. I was just more curious if anyone else had these boost numbers. I have since hooked the waste gate back up.
I think when I had my stocker on there the most I got was 27 PSI but the truck defueled bad, no OBA at the time. The norm was about 23-24. I agree with the guys, on a stock unit, those numbers, its going to blow in a time.

I pegged my 30 psi gauge once. And only once, just to see if I could.
Didn't want to blow the turbo so I hooked up the WG and adjusted the rod to where it won't open until 12 psi.
Now to get to 25 psi, I have to be pulling the trailer up a hill and the engine rpm be more than 2300 and the PHP chip set to 45 medium tow.
