i put front brakes on my truck the sunday. the reason i replaced the front is that my pass side was sticking, so i pulled both sides apart cleaned slide pins, new pads and new rotors. did not see a reason to change calipers. every thing was working fine until today truck started to pull to the right again same problem as before. the pass side rotor was real hot. is this do to the pistons in the caliper sticking? i greased the slide pins real well.
is there away to take caliper apart or should i just buy a new one?
now for the back question. i plan on doing them next week. but my e brake is not working. push the pedal down it is like there is othing there, but the cables are tight. they move when you push the pedal in. just nothing happens. it happened all at once went to use it one day and pop no e brake.
is it worth getting the rotors turned or better to buy new?

Try cracking open the bleeder screw on the passenger side caliper. If the wheel turns free, you could have a bad brake hose. If it is till dragging, its most likely the caliper pistons. I just went ahead and bought rebuilt calipers for mine last year. They weren't sticking, but one of the boots was bad and the parts to rebuild them myself wasn't that cost effective and also hard to find.
Turning the rotors can be around 1/4-1/3 the cost of a new stock rotor depending on where you buy them and their cost of machining yours. If yours aren't too bad, it will save some bucks to have them turned.
I haven't had any problems will my e-brakes (really don't use them), so hopefuly someone else can answer that question.
Ford uses a square cut o-ring in their calipers and when the brakes get worn to a point they start to stick and won't return. It is best to get a new or rebuilt caliper at this point.
