Part number for alternator replacement?
I've been told I need to upgrade my alternator to an aftermarket high output alternator. I've found some online, but I'm not sure which one I need to order. I have a 2002 Ford Excursion with 7.3 PSD. Can anyone tell me the part number for the alternator that came on the truck?

Thanks, I am going to order one from there, but I'm not sure which one to order. There's more than one, and in their descriptions they say that they replace particular part numbers, but I dont know which number I am replacing. Can you help me get a part number this time of night?

I just discovered my alt went bad. I was thinking of a HO alt for replacement since I have a few aftermarket accessories. I am looking the DB listed above and also the one linked here. Any thoughts or recommendations? I too am curious whether the fuse block is necessary.

If you do go with the HO alt then definatly use the wiring kit. The wires are rated for the stock alt.
