EDIT: motor is 300 inline six, currently sanding down hooker headers, saving up for a Offy C 4 barrel intake, currently has Carter YF one barrel planning on porting/polishing heads, perhaps a Valve job prolly not due to financial issues

Comp 268 has a bit of "idle". Check the exhaust sound clips and you might find one.

To get the most out of a cam or any modification, a port/polish job on the head is a must. That's the choke point on these engines.

Call Iskenderian Racing Cams or Crower Racing Equipment...they both have them and will modify any grind they have for what you want specifically.

If you are not going to DIY the p/p, check with a machine shop. You don't want to "hog" it out...just clean it up.

Scroll down to #6.

The sound clips are in the "sticky" at the top of this Forum.

Yep, post 6 in that sound clip thread is my nephew's 300. I made a few youtube's of his rig, just search under my name. Dont mind my 67(the red one), it's got a stock cam. Too much bigger than a 268, and it's going to be a dog. I was going to use an Isky 280 on mine, just to have a lopey idle. I didnt care about power or mpg, I wanted the sound. My idea was to run it at the 4* advanced setting on the Cloyes timing gears to bring some low end back to it. You can get the Comp at most any auto parts store.
