carbs

I have a 73 302, freshly rebuilt, still working on it! It's board 40 over, and I currently have a factory 2 barrel, a friend of mine well sell me his edelbrock 4 barrel for dirt cheap. My question is, which would be best for the engine to run the best? don't plan to race around, but want it be smooth and responsive. anyones feedback will be helpful!

Motorcraft carbs are somewhere around 500 cfm stock a lot of circle track guys run them because of there size. If you didn't do head work or put a better cam in the engine you will be over carbing the engine and wasting fuel. How does it run now does it just need rebuilt or tuned? As for Eldebrock carbs I do like them and if you do get it make its less than a 650 cfm for a 302.
