EDIT: I just looked it up on my truck. It's the "anti-lock/traction control" module and it's the last option on the "on-board test" tab. It's titled in the drop box: "Tire Size Configuration".

I got it figured out. I did not realize you could test different individual systems. I thought the enhanced powertrain setting covered all of the systems...lol....my bad. I may want to pic your mind on some other things after I get a little better with this software. Thanks a bunch...reps your way

Yea, this software is pretty thorough and for me, has an easy to use GUI(which usually doesn't go with also being thorough, if it's thorough it's usually harder to use, but not this one). I think it gets us(individuals who like to tinker) closer to having dealership quality software.

Uh-oh!!

Just a quick note being that we've discussed my low-power issue on this thread but my truck is now not running, some background:

I removed my EGR valve today to clean things up and put the original back in because I think I've determined there was nothing wrong with it in the first place, I replaced it a little over a year ago when having rough running issues, it wound up being a sticky injector or two and Hott Shot's Secret seems to have cleared it up.

Well, I removed the EGR valve and shot a bunch of carburetor cleaner down the intake, started it and ran it up and down the RPM range a bit...after things warmed up I ran it up to 3-4K and held it for a few seconds when it seems something shut the engine down...can't get it started since.

If I shoot more carb. cleaner down the intake it'll barely start, run for a few seconds and shut off...it turns over fine, everything checks out but my driveway is on a bit of an incline and I'm wondering if I puddled up too much carb. cleaner at the back of the intake?? ...used a whole can during the process.

Is there a sensor or something that puddled-up carb. cleaner could be hosing up? I am getting plenty of fuel in the housing, can hear it, etc. but no fire - is it possible I blew a fuse/module or sensor that would keep the injectors from firing?? I'm pretty upset and can't go to work now as the truck is my daily driver - may have to take the Harley today!

Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated, I left the EGR valve out while I got ready for work in the hopes that it will "air out" and maybe start - will go out and try here in a few minutes, I feel like such a dunce because whatever it is causing a "no start" condition - is MY fault! : -banghead

You have a MAF sensor that is fairly sensitive. I know when people oil their a/m intake a little too vigorously it leads to some issues.

Well, I can't exactly find a thread on here where they discuss shooting a bunch of carb. cleaner down the intake with the EGR valve out but I do recall reading just that, do it to clean out the hole, start it, warm it up, rev it a little and spray while running...all sorts of crap will blow out - OK, I did that a little over a year ago...NO problem.

Did it today and it shut down, no start now...I did find a short post today where it said to park the truck pointed DOWN an incline...so maybe I'm onto something with carb. cleaner puddling in the intake - DOH!!

Again, any help will be greatly appreciated - I am currently in a "no start" condition and had to ride the Harley in to work tonight, my ride home will be sub-60deg. -

I'll bet ya a cold beverage your FICM died and it was running on carb cleaner when you cranked it the last time. I know it would be coincidental, but that may have been your rough running problem to start with. Mine didn't throw a code until I ran it up into the RPM range, but it had previously shutdown a couple of times before.

Well, I guess I don't really care what the issue is, as long as I can fix it!

I'm going to run by the house in a bit to checkout the Emergency Fuel Cut-Off switch that's supposedly under the passenger dash panel?

Can't find much info. on it but a post on here suggested you can find the info. in the owner's manual - maybe when the engine "free-wheeled" up to 4K RPM the fuel cut-off kicked in??

Jeff: The fuel cutoff is for when you thump something solid the fuel is not fuelling a fire. As in a crash. It is an inertia switch.

Thanks, I read about that a few moments after my last post.

I guess I was grabbing at straws, like always...I think I am beginning to hate this truck, I hate to say it but it's given me more trouble than anything I've ever owned. Maybe I'm too cheap to take it to the dealership but that would blow my budget for a year!

I refuse to believe it could be the FICM as from what I understand it's a "slow die" - I think I have an injector or two acting up and when I went to clean out the intake, with the front of my truck on an incline, it puddled up and caused an issue.

I hope and pray than when I roll it down the driveway tomorrow and get it at least on level ground (I can jack up the back once I get it in the street) that a puddle of carb. cleaner might surge forward!

If it is a FICM, I guess I have to find one that is flashed or have the truck towed to the dealership then? UGH. If I found a good used one on eBay is it possible it would start the truck if that's what the issue is with it now?

Man, sorry to hi-jack this thread...this truck has turned into a mess real quick...and it's obviously due to something stupid I've done.

OK, aside from the FICM, what else could've gone wrong while I was spraying carb. cleaner down the EGR valve hole with engine running?

Do some of you think it stressed out the FICM (that may have been failing already...I've had an alternator/battery issue in the past) and it decided to go belly up?

I read that you have to take your PCM in with a FICM for the dealership to flash - is the PCM on the passenger side valve cover with two connectors?? I need to read up on that I guess.

I am really at a loss, neighbor was over this AM helping me, the truck will only run if we spray carb. cleaner down the EGR hole to keep it running, we stop spraying, the engine shuts off. It's apparent I'm getting no fuel through the injectors.

OK, here's what I've figured out so far:

The injectors cycle/buzz when I put the key in start position.

The glowplugs cycle.

The engine can turn over forever (although I know I don't want to do that due to starter/injector damage)

I've been keeping a 2amp charger on the truck whilst going through this debocle.

I put the EGR valve back in, plugged in the connector...still nothing.

I didn't pull any DTCs except for EGR codes while I had the EGR valve out.

Man, I'm totally stressed now, thankfully I have Fridays off!!

PCM is on the drivers side between the battery and fender.

Try taking the cap off the top fuel filter housing and see if the housing is full.

Thanks Eddie, I pulled the fuel filter housing yesterday and can hear the pump running, you name it...I think somehow the injectors aren't firing.

Well, I've NEVER had to do this before but the tow truck just rolled away with my prized F250 PSD, it is a sad sad day in this household for sure.

So far I have authorized diagnostics towards getting it running again...if I can swallow the price of what needs to be done I guess I'll just hit my Visa that's at $0 as of last month, it felt so good to pay that damn thing off...now I guess I'm gonna punish it some more!
