Ok two days in a row now my truck has died. The first time was after running for about a min, a/c turned on, put in gear and just starting to pull away. Restarted all was good. Second time, turned truck on, let idle stabilize, flipped on a/c, truck dies. Restarted all was good. I have an idea it is the cps but this time it is totally different semptoms than any other time. Any ideas?
Not really enough info for anything other than wild guesses. I'm guessing after the restart you don't have a CEL? Any idea if there are any codes stored? Random things are hard to chase down, but if the problem starts to become predictable, it's easier to track down.
For instance, the 2 things you mentioned are shifting into gear and turning on the AC. If the stall starts showing up on a frequent basis, you could try not turning on the AC, or starting in neutral and then shifting into reverse or drive (whatever is opposite of what you normally do) to help pinpoint the action that is causing the stall.
Go ahead and give us a better description of the stall too. Is it more like someone just turned the key off, or does the engine sputter a bit first?

It did it after sitting the day while at work. High 90's close to 100. Does not do it in the morning or after running for a period of time. There is a ses light but I already know that the glow plug controller has a problem, p0683. The first time the a/c was already on then I shifted into gear move about 10 feet a died. The second time it did it as sone as I turned on the a/c. Just like someone turned the key off. No spuddering.
Not yet I am going on a trip, in another truck, and will do the cps recall when I get back. I will probably buy another cps for a spare while at it. They are only $30 now from Ford.
