ABS-Vehicle speed sensor problems

Sorry this might be long, but it's worth reading! Problem day 1- Aftermarket trailer brake controler thinks there is a trailer hooked up, but no trailer. Problem day 2- ABS light intermittent, when off ABS activated like truck is on ice! Problem day 3- Speedo and fuel gauge irratic! Problem day 4- no tail or license lights- burned out headlamp switch! By this time I'm ready to put a bomb under her! Finally I start at rear where trailer wire hooks up working to front of truck. Removed every wiring connector, be carefull they may be brittle. At driver's side frame rail below front and rear doors, there are three large connectors. When I pulled mine apart, there was a boat load of water that came out! I blew them out with air, cleaned with PB Blaster, blew air again, put on DiElectric grease, put them together and voila! all problems solved! First I thought ABS sensor, Then maybe Vehicle speed sensor, It didn't spit out any codes! All it was, was water! Hope this helps anyone with similar problems!

Yes, we've had a lot of rain here in northern Ohio. I work in steel mills and industrial plants with dirt roads and deep puddles!
