Depends on your driving style. If it was interstate, yeah, once every 150-200 miles sounds pretty average.

Why is it pissin you off? It's a harmless process, especially when you don't have anything in tow.

Mine regen'd over the weekend 3 times on a tank of fuel. I would say you were lucky to have it happen over two tanks.

I don't think it is that harmless. It dumps raw fuel in the crankcase.

No, dumps raw fuel in the EXHAUST.. which burns up the soot captured by the DPF.

Run an oil sample if you think it doesn't dump fuel in the oil. A certain amount of the fuel it dumps in the cylinder on the exhast stroke gets past the rings. Ford says it won't hurt anything but I have my doubts. I think any fuel in the oil decreases the quality of the oil and in turn increases wear.

Have you run any oil samples? I have. And they don't say anything about excess soot (unburnt fuel) in the sample.

If you have fuel in your oil you have a problem and it's not regen. Now, to say 1500-1600 degree exhaust temps and overfueling on the exhaust stroke is harmless, probably not going to agree. I hate it.

You realy only get 250 miles to a tank of fuel.

That is very bad fuel mileage, and I would be asking Ford to fix it.
