Door switch question

I am in the process of fabbing a new setup for my interior lights, and I am at an impass.

First, does anyone know the best place to get the triple terminal plugs for the door jamb switches? I only have one because my truck didn't have a switch on the passenger side, and that one is badly corroded.

Second, is there any way to tell which terminal does what? As far as I can see, none of the terminals are marked on the switches, and the old plug I have from the driver side will plug into the new switch in any direction.

As always, any help is greatly appreciated!

I know LMC has them (47-0619 door jamb switch $8.95) other probably have them also. I'll look at mine tomorrow and see if I can tell what does what.
If I remember right it doesn't make any difference how you plug them in but I'll double check.
Also, Ford p/n D3TZ-13713-A, Motorcraft p/n SW-1161

Is that the switch itself, or the little plastic plug ends? I need the plug ends...I have the switches already (AutoZone).

If it doesn't matter how you plug them in, that would be great. I'm running all new wires, fuses, everything.

That is the switch itself. The plug is part of the main wiring harness. I'm not sure if you can get that as a separate part. I'll look in the parts book and see if it lists anything.

I looked through the Ford parts catalog and don't see a listing for just the plug socket. All the listings show it as a part of the main wiring harness. I don't know if Ford offered this as a repair kit or not (even if they did, would it still be available?).
I also checked a couple of aftermarket suppliers and they don't have a listing for it either.
Looks like it's time to hit the local pic-n-pull.

The story of my life.

Well, since tomorrow's an off day I'll see if my one go-to guy has anything usable.

But...theoretically, if it doesn't matter where the wires plug in, is it not possible to solder the wires to some brass pins then insert those pins in the back of the switch and seal them with RTV or something like that? I don't know if they make bullet connectors that small, but if they do, would that not work also?

I looked at mine this morning, it doesn't matter how you plug it in. While the switch and socket have three pin positions, the socket actually only has two pins in it. The switch is a make or break connection. When the switch is pushed in (door closed) there is no contact between any of the pins. When the door is opened all pins have contact.

I went to a junk yard and got mine out of an 80's ford van. I am pretty sure the 80's trucks should be the same.

I did some further checking and came up with D3TZ-13A719-C. From the illustration in the parts book this is the socket and wire for the door jamb switch. Green Sales has two in stock. Not sure if this is what you need but you can probably ask them about the correct application.
