engine code PO401

Hey guys just had auto zone scan my truck, code 401 egr flow insufficient
about a year ago I replaced the egr valve,dpfe sensor
any ideas what else to look for?
also can I reset the PCM buy touching the + and - battery cables together
I think I read that here some where? disconecting from battery of course.

DPFE sensor could be bad again. Ford had lots of trouble with these. You can check the DPFE voltage with a good scan tool. You need to look at PID DPFEGR (I think). The voltage needs to be at ~.9-1.0v at idle. If it is below that or over that and the valve is closed the sensor is bad. There is one more component to the system. It is the vacuum actuator. Follow the line on top of the EGR valve. It will be going to the vacuum switch. There will be another line going out of the switch to manifold vacuum source. Make sure all these are intact.
