trans filter

So on the return line on my '02 350, there is what looks like a filter - about 5" long and 3" in diameter. Is this stock?

have you had it since new? i guess some of the guys who had the dealer work on their trans said the dealer put a magnefine filter in one of the lines but i do not have one in my 02...........

Thanks, that's what I needed. I got it 2 years ago. Now I am wondering if I should find a replacement filter, and where I would look

check itp diesel or maybe dieselsite. there are a few places that carry them.......

I bought one for my old F150, that I sold to my stepson, when the TC went south. We got it from O'Reilly Auto Parts. I believe it was a Fram. They are made by other manufacturers also. Most filter companies should make them.
