The new software is great. Two problems I am having:

1) When I upload a picture I get only the filename and have to manually copy and insert the path.

2) I was limiting use of my signature so as not to have threads clogged up with the low RPM tachometer photo several times over. Seems now I have no control. The signature is on all posts. Is there a way I can delete it from messages as I am editing? Right now I deleted the tach from the signature and can add it as an attachment at times.

Well, Obviously that didn't work. Should have tried it in the test forum first. Sorry.

Smilies don't work!

Everytime I try to add a smilie (the little green guy is jumping hopping up and down right now) nothing happens. I just clicked on him, he freezes, and a little yellow triangle at the lower left of the screen appears that says "error on page" Is it me or is there a problem elsewhere?

I am also having to login everytime, even after playing around with user preferences.

I've fixed the two that were the most problematic. The others will remain unchanged until I have more time.

I'll look into this.

The solution is to change your signature and insert the tach photo manually. The signature is now kept seperate so if you change it all your posts using it will change when all the threads go throw their weekly rebuild....

Ken, My mix up. I was using the message attachment to upload my Avitar and when I got to the Avitar input screen had to add the file path. I now see that the file path is automatically there for message attachments and have successfully uploaded a message attachment. So no problem here. Though I notice others have had the same problem with the Avitar that I had.

Ken, I'm still having problems with the smilies. I tried to use the green jumping guy again today and all that shows up in the post is 0o.

Thanks,
Neil

Its a known bug in the code from the vendor. When they release a patch I'll install it.
