On the main forum screen click your user settings button. You can select there that you want it to remember to keep you logged it. Unfortunately when the software upgraded everyone it set this to off by default. Its now on by default for all new users but everyone who was imported from the old system will have to change it if they want to stay logged in....

One thing to keep in mind is that if your host doesn't serve up images fast (such as your avatar) you're slowing down browsing for everyone viewing your messages. Upload your avatar image to this site in a post and then link to it.
I like the changes to the new site with the one following *constructive* suggestion. When I click on "read new", all I need are the new messages. The large portion of the screen taken up by the search stuff is not needed. I liked the old read new screen much better than just having all the new message listed in the little box down the right side of the page.

The search stuff isn't optional in the new version. Its there to allow you to refine and filter read new results. I've made that part of the screen narrower but I can't remove it.

One suggestion. With the upgrade, unread posts are supposed to be identified with colored icons. I couldn't figure this out until I logged on at work, whereupon I did see a slight blue tinge on the unread posts icon. Apparently my monitor at home cannot adequately display such a small color difference. Would it be possible to darken the shade of the color icons? Thanks.

This one is going to have to be a real low priority. There are over 40 icons that would have to be edited and I'm far too busy to spend half a day editing gif files..... when it slows down I'll get to it.

The old system didn't assign users a "registered since" date. All users imported from the old system are considered "charter." As far as the system is concerned EVERYONE is new for a while since it didn't date anyone before.
I still am having trouble with staying logged in when I return to FTE, even though I've turned the feature on and off several times in my preferences. Anyone else having this problem?
As well, can someone explain to me how I get email notification to threads now? On some threads when I post, the box is there (like this one), but on others it isn't.
