I installed a walbro 392 pump a year ago and it appears dead. I have been running B99 BioDiesel for about 4000 miles. the truck will start and idle rough.
pump has 12v. makes no noise. 2 pressure gauges say 0 psi. I get no fuel from the drain when opened and engine running.
Can't comment on the Walbro, but haven't had any issue with the stock and B20-B99 for about 5500 miles now or so. Here is a bump, maybe someone can give you there .02.
Isn't there a Carter pump that can be picked up for "cheap" at an AutoZone or something? Like $100-ish I think?
EDIT: Have a look at THIS THREAD. Maybe if you reach out to Clay he'll be able to give you the Bosch part#.
You can get the Carter cheap at the local marts. Talk to these guys about them though, seems like they weren't impressed. I also stock the Bosch pump that is a direct replacement for the stock.
My 392 only lasted a few months when I installed it last fall. I'm running regular diesel and not bio. I ended up installing some pump I got from O'Reilleys. Paid around $150 for it. So far so good....

how do I get the fuel fitting off the pump that goes to the bowl. can't remember how I did it last time. thanks
First, you drain the fuel bowl. Then you lay directly under the pump. Then you use your special little tool to disconnect the quick-connect fitting. Then you lay there while all the fuel in the feed line from the pump to the bowl runs down your arm to your chest making you squirm out from under the truck.
Man, Went to the shop yesterday to get new Sneakers put on the jeep. My buddy told me that he had to 7.3's in this week. Said one was fuel pump and the other was ICP sensor. And with recent events with these two on here lately. I am thinking now of picking up one of each to toss under seat. I travel with the camper and hate breaking down and locating parts.. Waterpump,ICP,and fuel pump. Under my seat? Overkill huh. But then i will never have anyone of those fail seeing i will have a spair.
