Well I ran the dyno in Mass. today ( hit a LOT of traffic for the Big-E on 91 N )
377 hp, a little low
697 torque, I wish it was 700 but not bad.
I will try to post a photo tomorrow.
I hope that Ray and Aaron had a good day also.
andy those numbers are good! with the automatic tranny you should be somewhere around 450 at the crank. like pete was saying, the 400 mark seems to be where the serious cash and parts need to come in.
how was the jamboree?
races were good, but not great. took the holeshot on the first heat, but a bunch of guys jumped the light so it got red flagged. took the holeshot again on the restart.
the truck was awesome and we had some really great close action with a guy in a CJ. he was able to pass me on the inside, but he carried too much speed and when he went wide at the end of the corner i got him on the inside. all was fast sailing after that until i broke the truck.
we think the front left trailing arm broke a heim joint, that allowed the differential to roll and ended up breaking the pinion, driveshaft, a shock, and the oil filter. we believe the pan is ok.
ray's brother and greg have some video, i have in truck video but we filled a 2 gig SD card before the 3rd lap thanks to a roll over in the 4 cylinder heat before me.
quack quack!! afternoon all!
last night at the racetrack I found out that its hard to exit a porta-crapperr when theres a pickup truck on the other side of the door. on a related note, I got back at the guilty party by putting a tire in front of afoermentioned porta-crapper. gotta love the speedbowl track crew lol. and they have 100' drags (yeah, I know) and last night they had a 1st gen lightning in the races and I got a couple pics. Ill have to upload em later. well, Im off to catch the Disney train that apparently coming through.
